Artifact Mixtape
Artifact Mixtape is a tangible music curation system that bridges the gap between digital audio content and physical everyday objects through mixed reality. Developed to address the erosion of self-identity in the era of dematerialized streaming services, this system enables users to anchor digital playlists onto personal artifacts using NFC technology and tabletop projection. The interface supports both an authoring mode for curating tracks and creating visual labels, and a playing mode that visualizes music through interactive graphics rotating around the object. By inducing intentional exploration and physical organization of music, Artifact Mixtape transforms digital files into valuable possessions that facilitate self-expression and chronological reflection.
